During our day-to-day routine, there are many instances where we take something for granted. If your workplace is far away from your home, you must be travelling a lot every day. There are many people who travel as much as fifty miles a day to reach their workplaces. And what makes it all possible is the largely underrated and ignored invention of human history – Car. As Neil Armstrong said on his mission to the moon-“One small step for man, a giant leap for mankind”. Although his context was a bit different, we can use the same for this creation. At the time of the invention of a motorcar, no one would have ever thought that this invention would bring such a huge change to the world.

The history of the car goes all the way back to 17th century. It is believed that the first car was made somewhere in China, but it was only a small model and couldn’t carry any passengers. The development in the field of motorcar accelerated in the early 1900s. The production of motorcars at a large scale started early in the twentieth century and took an even larger leap when Ford stepped in the game. The early ford models were a bit expensive and appealed only to the rich. The people with more income started using this luxury as a status symbol. In the late twentieth century, ford decided to start producing the ford topaz model for the middle-class people. This was the main reason for the increase in popularity of Ford among people from the society with lesser income.
