About Discuss	English (USA)
The OpenISO.org review of OOXML takes place on this mailing list. In addition, general disucssion of the OpenISO.org vision and draft guideliness is welcome. A high level of professional courtesy is expected of all participants. If violations of this expectation threaten to discrupt the fact-oriented nature of the discussions, the transgressors will be "moderated" (i.e. the mailing list system would hold future postings from them for checking and manual approval by a "moderator" who will check that the postings are ---in his or her reasonable judgement--- not rude or otherwise disruptive). In order to prevent such moderation from resulting in a severe loss of transparency and accountability, any and all "moderation events" will be publicly disclosed on the modevents mailing list, which can also be used for (totally unmoderated) discussion of moderation decisions and policy if such discussion is desired. Using Discuss
To post a message to all the list members, send email to discuss@openiso.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Discuss
Subscribe to Discuss by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
