[OpenISO] The C++ standard

Note: My view of C++ is mostly hearsay. The conclusions might be valid anyway.
My impression is that the C++ standard is overly complex as a result
of different compiler vendors implementation. Instead of choosing,
several ways to do the same thing are included in the standard.
Will the proposed resolution in OpenISO.org avoid such things?
I.e. will OpenISO.org be able to look after the needs of the users of
the standards (as opposed to the companies that define them) than e.g.
ISO?
I think that would be very good
