I understood that statement as saying that if "MS Office" does not
conform to the Ecma-376 spec, they promise to handle that discrepancy
as a bug in their software.
AFAIK they never promised to honor any ISO/IEC decisions to change
the OOXML spec in ways that Microsoft does not like.
