The question is - how much will OpenISO be in cooperation with OSI. An 
identical opened circle might, in my opinion, symbolize a joined effort 
of OSI and OISO, but it's really up to you I guess, if you want to 
contact OSI with some kind of partnership "offer".

The idea of the wireframe globe is used so much, that there shouldn't be 
a problem with the ISO organisation at all. A wireframe ball isn't a 
regged trademark anyway, moreover, it's used pretty much as a symbol of 
the earth. Yet again, the resolution has to be yours :)

As to the opened box idea, I'd understand that mainly as an e-mail 
archiver, or some kind of security/encryption blackbox, but I'm quite 
used to being different in understanding things :)

I'll try to get together something that doesn't resemble ISO or OSI this 
much.
